چکیده

Crossminton is a sport that combines elements of squash, badminton and tennis, creating new sport, which currently being played all over the world. The aim our study was to identify compare bilateral differences in internal external rotation glenohumeral joint crossminton players. subject were 13 players from Slovak Republic (25.1±9.3 years; 172.8±9.1 cm; 71.8±16.1 kg). range motion (IR-ROM) (ER-ROM) measured bilaterally using standard two-arm goniometer. Bilateral comparison, decimal age pairwise comparisons carried T-test for independent samples. Results point occurrence adaptation. Given differences, dominant shoulder has lower IR-ROM (p < 0.05) higher ER-ROM than non-dominant shoulder. GIRD (IR difference > °) observed 4 did not have significant impact on values joint. Only upper limb with growing 0.05). fact adaptations ROM promote an increased injury risk, present reveals relevance monitoring finding between limbs

Glenohumeral joint total rotation range of motion in elite tennis players and baseball pitchers.

UNLABELLED The amount of glenohumeral joint internal and external rotation used during overhead sport activities has been measured experimentally by sports scientists. Clinical measurement of glenohumeral joint internal and external rotation using goniometry is an integral part of a shoulder evaluation after injury or surgery or during preseason or preventative musculoskeletal screenings. PUR...

Glenohumeral Range of Motion and Lower Extremity Flexibility in Collegiate-Level Baseball Players

BACKGROUND The throwing motion results in unilateral increases in dominant arm external rotation (ER) range of motion (ROM). Trunk forward tilt at ball release is related to ball velocity. The relationship between lower quarter flexibility and dominant arm ROM is not known. HYPOTHESIS There is a relationship between lower extremity flexibility and dominant arm ER ROM and total rotation ROM. ...

Glenohumeral joint: internal and external rotation range of motion in javelin throwers.

OBJECTIVE To assess differences in glenohumeral joint rotatory range of movement in javelin throwers between the throwing and non-throwing arm. METHOD A universal 360 degrees goniometer was used to assess glenohumeral joint external and internal rotation range in 90 degrees of shoulder abduction in a group of ten senior international javelin throwers. RESULTS Both arms had significantly gre...

Glenohumeral joint range of motion in elite male golfers: a pilot study.

BACKGROUND Shoulder injuries account for up to 17% of all golf related musculoskeletal injuries. One cause may be the repetitive stresses applied to the lead shoulder during the backswing and follow-through phases, which may contribute to the frequency of these injuries. The "elite" golfer may be pre-disposed to developing a shoulder injury based upon the reported adaptations to the glenohumera...

Osseous adaptation and range of motion at the glenohumeral joint in professional baseball pitchers.

The throwing shoulder in pitchers frequently exhibits a paradox of glenohumeral joint motion, in which excessive external rotation is present at the expense of decreased internal rotation. The object of this study was to determine the role of humeral head retroversion in relation to increased glenohumeral external rotation. Glenohumeral joint range of motion and laxity along with humeral head a...
